Fees for Birth Doula Services

Doulas tend to pull long hours, with little rest, or even time to eat, drink or go to the restroom.  Sometimes births are short lasting just a couple of hours, and other times they will go for up to 4 days.  My commitment to you is that I will remain by your side, actively relieving your pain and being a vocal encouragement, regardless of the length of the birthing process.  This does NOT affect the original amount for service agreed.  This is the life of a Doula, and although it requires long nights, midnight phone calls, "practice labors" and time away from my child, it is absolutely worth it, and I feel my fees are minimal in comparison to the love and attention I am comitted to providing.

*Fees range from $550 to $1000

*Service fees vary per client, based on services required, distance needed to travel, and ability to pay. A fee will be agreed upon during our first meeting, and payment contract will be signed.

*Client option to pay UP TO an additional $200, based on satisfaction with my services AFTER the birth.

*I gift one FREE birth per month, based on income.

*Discounts for single mothers, and military families, if father is deployed.

*$150 retainer fee due at first prenatal visit, with the remaining agreed-upon total, due at the first post partum visit, 2-3 days post birth.

***Birth Dance Doulas, works closely with 2 additional doulas, Mother Nurture Doulas, and Little Blessings Doulas, and will at  times, support first time mothers in teams of two.  The fees are not affected by this.  Mothers will have the opportunity to meet both Tessa, and her doula team member during the first appointment, as well as continually thru the prenatal period.
